i would think the exia is better on a one- on-one bases. because the GN-X, like the thrones use the red GN drives, which was also known as the false GN drive; that has a limit to its power. while exia uses the green GN drive, which is the true GN drive. plus exia has a more variety of weapons compared to the GN-X. and my own personal reason, GN-X looks ugly compared to the exia. XD

The GN-X has one beam saber, IIRC.

Nothing compared to the Exia's array of swords.

The real advantage of the GN-X is that there are ten of them [per faction], so they could outnumber Setsuna.
